New members who wish to take part in plays are always welcome to attend rehearsals and with a view to participating in productions.  Rehearsals  are held on Wednesday evenings at 8-00 pm with additional rehearsals on Monday evenings nearer the date of the production.

We always need assistance  in the productions either front stage or backstage  and your help would be warmly welcomed.   Please contact the webmaster if you are interested or come along to a rehearsal.

We were delighted to receive confirmation from the National Lottery 'Awards for All' fund that they granted us funds to seek to involve the community in our play presentations.  In May 2007 we ran a 'workshop' using professional tutors to give coaching basic acting skills, interaction between characters and interpretation of scripts.  In May 2008, a series of 6 evening courses will include coaching on direction of plays as well as other theatre skills.

People with a genuine interest in theatre from amateurs to those with experience of involvement in productions will be welcome.  We hope that this involvement with the players and the coaching presented will encourage new members to join the group and actively participate in forthcoming productions.

We were delighted that two of our members became engaged recently.  It is rumored that Ian Godley went down on one knee outside the gates of Buckingham Palace and has his proposal of marriage was accepted by Emma Vere.  Emma stage manages the players productions and Ian constructs the sets.
